What to Expect on Your First Visit
At Cardiovascular Associates, our patients are our top priority. We work with you as partners in your health and aim to provide excellent cardiovascular care with a high level of patient satisfaction. To prepare for your appointment, please read through
the information in this section.
Managing Appointments
If your need for an appointment is urgent, please notify us when you call, and we will make every effort for you to see a physician immediately. After seeing a CVA physician, please stop at the checkout desk before you leave to make an appointment for
your next visit. If you find that you will not be able to keep a scheduled appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling (205) 510-5000.
Your Medical Information
Upon arrival, please update us on any new, relevant information that we should have in your medical record. For each visit, we encourage you to bring:
- updated copy of your medical history,
- list of all medications you are currently taking, and
- written diagnostic testing instructions or physician orders
You may also have your primary care physician mail or fax your medical history to us prior to your appointment.
Because we use a comprehensive electronic medical record system, all of your important information is updated at each visit and readily available to your care team and is accessible to on-call physicians in an emergency.
